Thursday’s sunrise

A little after 6:00 this morning I found myself a seat on the front steps.

Hot coffee in hand and a cool gentle breeze drifting in from the east, I welcomed the sunrise as it reached into this little corner of Snow Camp. Early light patterns in the tall oaks came first, then a brilliance that only happens when the first light pours onto yellow flowers.

A finch took a seat in the garden by the hollies, and for just a few moments the air seemed golden and filled with the perfume of wildflowers, oak leaves, and morning dew.

Welcome to Thursday, my friends. Y’all be safe out there and look after each other.
