Looking up

Today, the sky did not merely fade to the darkness of night. Not today.

It’s beautiful. How brilliantly the sun shines after a storm, and how a drenched landscape reflects the last light of day into a masterpiece in the sky.

The morning was cloudy. By afternoon the rain flew on fast currents of wind, crashing into every unsheltered thing here. By evening, the storm clouds no longer swirled directly overhead. The sky seemed to have other plans for the evening.

Today, the sky did not merely fade to the darkness of night. Not today. Today, the sky was filled with amazing motion as the remaining clouds seemed to dance and be painted with the light of the setting sun.

The bare tree tops shine brilliantly in the after storm sun rays as a rainbow shines over this old road.

These are simple IPhone snapshots from a quick evening trip where I found myself enjoying the view from the passenger seat, and as always, looking up.
